How to Remove the TikTok Watermark From a Video
A watermark-remover app blurs or crops the logo and leaves marks behind. If you still have the TikTok link, download a copy that never had the watermark. If you only have the file, here are your options.
Updated
When you save a TikTok through the app, TikTok draws its logo and the creator's username onto the video, and the mark moves between corners while the clip plays. Watermark remover apps try to hide it after the fact. They either crop the frame, which cuts off part of the picture, or blur the area, which leaves a smudge where the logo was. Because the logo moves, the result is rarely clean.
The better fix is to skip the watermarked file and download a copy that never had one.
If you still have the link
- Open the TikTok and tap Share, then Copy link. A link someone sent you works too.
- Go to the TikTok downloader without watermark.
- Paste the link and tap Download.
- Tap "Download Video + Audio".
This file comes from the video stream TikTok plays, before the app adds its logo. The whole frame is intact, and the quality is the best TikTok has for that video. You can delete the watermarked copy afterwards.
If you only have the saved file
ICANDL needs a link, so it can't clean a file that is already on your phone. You have two routes.
The first is to find the original. The watermark shows the creator's username. Search for it in TikTok, find the video on their profile, copy its link and follow the steps above. This works as long as the video is still public.
The second is to edit the file. Any video editor can crop the frame or blur a region. Since the TikTok logo changes position partway through, you may need to blur two areas or use a tool that tracks the moving logo. Expect some loss at the edges either way.
Sound and silent versions
The result screen also has "Download Audio Only" for the sound as an MP3 and "Download Video Only" for a silent copy. The silent video comes from the same clean stream, so it has no watermark either.
Keep the credit
The watermark is TikTok's way of crediting the creator. When you remove it and share the clip, add the creator's name yourself. Reposting someone's video as your own content needs their permission. ICANDL works with public videos only and doesn't store the files it processes.
