Keep the words, lose the song
Muting a video removes everything, including the person talking. This tool removes only the music. It splits the soundtrack into a voice part and a music part, keeps the voice and puts it back under the original picture. You can also take the voice alone as an MP3.
What you can download
- "Download Video With Voice Only (MP4)" is the original video with the music removed.
- "Download Voice Only (MP3)" is the separated voice without the picture.
- "Download Video + Audio" and "Download Audio Only (MP3)" are still there if you want the original.
How it works
The separation runs Demucs, an open-source model built for splitting recordings into parts. It runs on ICANDL's server, not on a third-party service. Because the model has real work to do, results take from about half a minute to a few minutes, and videos are limited to 3 minutes.
Best results
- Clear speech over a song works best.
- Sung vocals count as voice, so a song's singer stays in.
- Heavy drums or bass under the voice can leave faint traces.
If you want no sound at all, the Instagram video without audio page gives a silent copy instantly.

Public videos only
The tool reads public videos only and deletes processed files after a short time. Removing the music doesn't change who owns the footage, so ask the creator before you publish it.
