Download Twitter (X) audio as MP3
Paste the link of a public X post here, tap Download and choose "Download Audio Only (MP3)" to save the video's soundtrack. The MP3 includes the speech, music and effects used in that post.
Some posts also show a "Download Audio as WAV" button for editing workflows that use uncompressed audio. Converting compressed source audio to WAV cannot restore detail lost earlier. The guide on MP3 or WAV downloads explains when each format makes sense.
For a video you have already saved, use the MP4 to MP3 converter with the local file. To turn a saved interview into written notes, open its audio in the transcription tool.
Download Twitter videos with or without sound
"Download Video + Audio" saves the full video with its sound. "Download Video Only" saves the same video muted. If a post holds more than one video, each video appears as its own card with its own buttons.
Links that work
Copy the link with the Share icon on the post. It looks like x.com/username/status/..., and older twitter.com links work too. Copy the link of the post itself, not the profile.
These don't work:
- Spaces. Live audio rooms and their recordings aren't attached to a post as a video.
- Protected accounts. Only public posts can be read.
- Deleted posts, or posts withheld in your country.
