Paste the link of a public Instagram video or Reel, tap Download and choose "Download Video + Audio". You get the original MP4 with the sound you hear in the app, including the music and any talking the creator added over it.

Instagram can send the picture and sound as separate streams. Saving only the picture stream leaves an MP4 with no audio track. "Download Video + Audio" combines the available picture and sound in one file.

Instagram video download as MP3

If you only need the sound, choose "Download Audio Only (MP3)". Instagram has no download button for audio, and its "Save audio" option only bookmarks the sound inside the app. Here you get a real MP3 file that any phone, computer or video editor can open.

The MP3 contains the soundtrack from the post. If the creator used 15 seconds of a song, the file contains that excerpt, not the full track. Some posts also show a "Download Audio as WAV" button for editors that need uncompressed audio. Download Instagram video by link

The link is the only thing ICANDL needs, and it has to point to the post itself.

• In the Instagram app, tap the Share icon (the paper plane) under the video or Reel and choose Copy link.
• On instagram.com, open the post and copy the address from the browser bar.
• In a carousel, copy the link of the whole post. ICANDL lists every video in it separately.

On Android, iPhone and PC

There is nothing to install and no Instagram login.

• Android: the file goes to the Downloads folder and shows up in the gallery after a moment.
• iPhone: Safari asks where to save the file. Open it in the Files app, tap Share and choose Save Video to move a video into Photos. The iPhone guide has the full steps.

If the link doesn't work or the file is silent

• The account is private. ICANDL only reads public posts.
• The post was deleted or archived by its owner.
• Instagram muted the sound over music rights. If the video is silent on Instagram, there is nothing to download.

Public posts only

The downloader reads public posts only. Link-based downloads and audio processing can create temporary files on the server while the result is prepared. Music in Reels is usually licensed to Instagram only, so keep downloads for personal use unless you have permission to reuse them.
